Do you know where you were and what you were doing when the virus was unleashed in 2020? I do. I remember my plans, my research, and how it all went down. DeWine issued an order that Ohioans were to “shelter in place.” He also gave a list of what was and wasn’t essential and how we were to go about our daily business if we were out and about getting essential groceries.
Why am I bringing this up now? Because I’ve been watching the City Council meetings and attending the ones I have time for. I’ve watched the Strategic Planning Committee online as well as the Zoning & Planning meetings – see prior posts for the breakdown of those. Wordsmithing is a BIG deal, or shall I say a problem. In many of the ordinances they are passing and plans they are preparing in laying a roadmap for our city, “Safety & Health” are a priority. While I understand it’s important (and I’ll stay home when I’m sick), I have MANY questions.
1. What is so important about these specific words that they need to add this verbiage to the city plans and ordinances? One example from last night’s City Council meeting is how they are attempting to restrict your farm animals and how many chickens you have for the “Health and Safety” of our community. I believe the word “economy” was in there as well.
2. Is this verbiage required to receive grants through the State & Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF)? If so, why?
3. Are they putting something in place that they aren’t telling us about? It certainly looks that way.
4. At what point is The Constitution of the United States suspended? In case of an emergency?
5. Why would the US Conference of Mayors recommend our Mayor to find out what her powers are and then recommend she declare a state of emergency? Would that be for money or power?
This is one of the MANY reasons I’m in this race. To fight the fight of FREEDOM. I’m doing it for me, for my family, and for YOU!
They’ve gone this far but NO further because our rights shall not be infringed. Top-down government is dangerous. We need to be aware of when it’s headed our way.
VOTE! May 2nd.
