This memory popped up on my personal Facebook page today. Quite interesting since we were talking about grant funds last night during our Mayoral Forum.
Our Mayor said last night they are working on an agenda set in place. I’d like to see that agenda, that plan, the beginning dates, and deadlines or goal dates. I’d then like to compare it to the 2017 Catalytic Plan and the Strategic Plan they are working on now. As I said last night, If it’s the same plan, why would the city spend $125,000 + $8,000, putting us over budget? The Catalytic plan focuses solely on downtown. Isn’t that the problem?
The entire community does NOT want all of our taxes spent downtown. I’m not sure how that’s not obvious to our local government, but it may have something to do with the fact that it benefits THEM since it’s their playground and not our entire community.
Hmmmm. Imagine that. Enriching themselves at the cost of others
I honestly thought this was something DC politicians did it’s clear now what that looks like in our local government.
Findlay, the day is coming when you will have a chance for change! That day is May 2nd.

NOTE: This article in May 2022’s paper is what triggered my investigation last year. Being on the Strategic Planning Committee made it more interesting to watch how things change behind closed doors of committees and in City Council. I don’t think they can be trusted anymore so I won’t. I’ll have to review everything myself to get the facts to inform the people.
