Cyberattacks on Public Water Systems – Biden Admin requirements

Todays Courier has this VERY interesting article. The Biden Administration, you know, the one with the anti-American agenda, said it would require states to report cybersecurity threats in audits on public water systems. Pushing policy in the name of ”Health & Safety” is looking very much like . . . well, you can imagine. Since I’m working towards solutions to what I find problematic in our city, I have to ask questions to find some reasoning for these decisions. Here are a few after todays article:

1. Is this requirement put in place to explain all the money set aside for “public water & sewer systems” through the ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) and SLRFR (State & Local Fiscal Recovery Funds)? How is this covid related? Is it because of the covid 💉 shedding? I don’t see any water reports on the Hancock Public Health page.

2. The EPA is “stressing the need for states to assess cybersecurity risk”. Why? “Cyberattacks against critical infrastructure on increasing and public water systems are vulnerable” says EPA – article link in the comments below👇🏽Didn’t East Palestine train derailment make our drinking water vulnerable? Is that the attack they are talking about?

3. If the train derailment contaminated our water, why isn’t there a report at Hancock Public Health? And if it’s contaminated because of the chemicals released by train derailment, why is City Council passing an ordinance for grant by the state to pay 100% of work done on railway in Findlay to Norfolk Southern when they are the owners of TWO recent derailments? Shouldn’t we pause for a minute?😳

3. Grants funds through the ARPA & SLRFR come with strings attached and verbiage needed to be written in our ordinances. What are these words?

4. Does Findlay really NEED more grants funds from the State so that they control us and tell us how to run our city?

5. Does the “technical know-how” and assistance building cybersecurity programs the state has offered have anything to do with controlling the people? It is, by the way, for our own “Health & Safety”🤨

Biden Admin requirements, free grant money, cybersecurity control sure sounds like we are building a Smart 15 minute city🧐 If we are, why hasn’t our local government been clear with the people that this is what they are doing? Another great example of LACK OF TRANSPARENCY.

What are your thoughts Findlay? Would you want to live in a Smart 15 minute city? Would you sign up for that?
